On the occasion of the “Financial Literacy Days”: Awards, commendations and certificates of appreciation for the most creative student works
The Insurance Supervision Agency (ISA), as part of its ongoing efforts to raise public awareness of the need and importance of financial literacy for insurance among young people, awarded and recognised students this year for their most creative works that reflect the importance of insurance.
On that occasion, high school students who wrote the most innovative essays about the significance of insurance were ISA’s guests today. At the workshop on the degree of financial literacy in the field of insurance, we spoke with them and their instructors about their experiences and the importance of insurance, as well as the incorporation of insurance into the educational process.
We exchanged experiences and ideas for improving the effects of the financial education campaigns that ISA regularly conducts to raise awareness of the need for insurance.
At the same time, we talked to the students, most of whom will be future students, about their future plans and the prospects offered by education and employment in Macedonia.
With this event, ISA finished its activities for the “Financial Literacy Days” and successfully conducted the 13th consecutive Competition for the Selection of Topics on November 1st – Insurance Day. This year, ISA received over 150 drawings, poems, and essays from students aged 6 to 17 from several dozen primary and secondary schools in various cities and towns across the country on the topics “Insurance protects me from risks,” “My investment – insurance policy,” and “Life is full of surprises, insurance is my financial security.”
The competition rewarded nine works in total (three for an essay, a poem, and a picture), as well as 44 certificates of appreciation to talented children. The students’ instructors and mentors received 32 certificates of gratitude.
As part of its activities during Financial Literacy Days in November, ISA visits schools and educates students about the importance of insurance through appropriate forms of interactive communication. It also participates in an educational TV show and publishes content on social networks with a strong educational component on the characteristics of insurance products and the protection of insured persons’ rights.
ISA provides the opportunity for educational visits and interactive lectures for all schools on topics in the field of financial education in insurance, and the data is available on the ISA website.
The Insurance Supervision Agency (ISA) is an independent regulatory body that regulates the insurance market, monitors insurance firms’ operations, protects insured people’s rights, and promotes financial education and inclusion.
