Free Access to Public Information
Any legal entity or individual, without discrimination on any ground (sex, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or political belief), may submit a Request for access to public information. Macedonian law grants this right to foreign legal entities and individuals as well. The request is submitted on a form established by the Commission (available at www.komspi.mk). A request may also be submitted on a plain sheet of paper, but in that case the requester must state that it is a request under the Law on Free Access to Public Information. Such a request should contain the name of the information holder, the first and last name of the requester, the company or legal entity, details of a possible representative or proxy, the information the requester wishes to obtain, and the way in which they wish to receive it. The request should also state the requester’s address, phone number or email. A requester also has the right to submit an oral request.
